Avalanche hits Gurez, 2 persons buried under snow, rescued alive | KNO

Bandipora, Apr 08 (KNO): Two persons were rescued alive after they got buried under an avalanche in snow bound Gurez area of north Kashmir's Bandipora district on Wednesday evening. According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), locals said that two persons were on way to check-Nallah area of Gurez along with snow clearance machine, and they came under a snow avalanche at Chak-Nallah. Soon after the incident, local administration along with police immediately launched a rescue operation and after few hours both of them were rescued alive, officials said. A senior police officer told-KNO, the duo had got buried under the snow avalanche and they immediately started rescue operation and in due course of time, both were saved—(KNO)
